Walking down the steps heading for my car one afternoon recently, I was stopped by a man walking just behind me.

Him: Excuse me Miss.

Me: Hi.

Him: I could ask you something? I just can’t understand. I would just like to ask you a question.

Me: Ooook.

Him: You could tell me if I wrong right?

Me: Ooook.

Him: I was walking towards dis mall a few minutes ago. There was two women standing on the steps. One had on a tight pants and her zip was down and I could see all she fronts.

Now can I just say I envisaged this story going rapidly downhill from here. There was just no way this was gonna end well. Anyhow I digress. Back to the story.

Him: I am a respectable man and I believe a woman should carry herself in a respectable way. I did not want anyone to mek sport at the woman so I decide to tell she dat she zip was undone.

Me: *shakes head*

Him: Miss; would you believe the woman buse me and tell me to carry my stinking so and so. And if I wasn’t looking at she nooksie I wouldn’t uh see nuttin! I tell she madam I was trying to do you a favor by telling you your zip was down, nothing more.

Him: Miss; I was wrong to tell she something?

Him: I tell she I like I should uh leff you let d worl see you parts.

Me: *shakes head*

Him: I tell d woman I sorry hear.

Him: Miss; I was wrong to tell she something?

Him: But even though I tell she sorry she continue to tell me bout my mudda and walking behind me cussing.

Him: Miss; I was wrong to tell she something?

Him: I walk and went long. Now I guess I move wrong. Maybe I was supposed to push talk at she and tell she d kitty look sweet. Maybe dah is was she did looking for. But I is a respectable man, I does respect women. I was simply trying to do a good deed.

Him: Miss; what you think, I was wrong to tell she something?

This time he actually stopped long enough for me to reply.

Me: You may be a respectable man but you have to remember that some people don’t respect themselves so when others show them respect they don’t know what to do with that.

In retrospect I believe my reply may have been just a tad to highbrow for that particular conversation.

Him: Miss; what you think, I was wrong to tell she something?

Me: You was right boss man. You is a respectable man an you was trying to do d woman a favor. You is right, um is just that she ein got no respect fuh sheself.

Him: Tank you Miss. I glad you tell me so. I was wondering If I was wrong. Tanks hear?

Me: No problem.

The MORAL OF THE STORY…
Women, check yuhselves, check yuh fronts and if someone tell you your fronts pon show, unless you is in Bush Hill tell them TANKS hear?
