Standing in the checkout line a woman in front of me turns and points to an item in my trolley.

Her: Sweetheart how much for that?

Me: $10

Her: Stuppssee!!! I can't understand these people. Dem really feel people got money tuh burn. I buy one o dem last week an I only pay $9.97. Looka how dem gone and raise up d price.

Me: *Had no words so smiled sweetly*

Her: Don't let them rob you sweetheart put dah back on the shelf till d price come back down.

Me: *still no words so smiled sweetly again*

At this point I'm doing really well not to bust out laughing. A man standing behind me looks at the woman.

Him: But madam you pay the same $10 dollars as this lady.

Her: NO! NO! I only pay $9.97

Him: There's no such price as $9.97

Her: Yes, I remember it good, I had a $10 bill in my hand and d cashier give me 3 cents change.

Me: Bhahahahahahahahaha

Her: You feel is a joke? You feel I telling lies? I does guh church pon a Sunday, I ein got nuh reason tuh lie.

Me: *straight face emoticon*

Him: *straight face emoticon*

Cashier: *straight face emoticon*
